How I Make My Creamy Coffee At Home
I’ve tried every different way to have coffee because I LOVE the flavour. I know some people drink it for the caffeine I actually drink it DESPITE the caffeine. I LIVE for an espresso martini, a tiramisu or an affogato (with hazelnut gelato…) YUM! We actually had espresso martinis at our wedding to fuel the hours of dance floor fun. But caffeine and I have a love hate relationship and I actually intermittently cut it out all together to avoid bad sleep and anxiety. I used to love a soy cappuccino because it’s creamy and delicious, easy to get at any cafe plus the soy milk is sweet making it a real tasty treat. Then I went through a black coffee phase because I guess it’s probably better for you but I just didn’t get the same enjoyment out of it.
The one thing I constantly come back to over the years is the Bulletproof style coffee. There are loads of opinions on whether Bulletproof is bad or good for you and whether all of the fats and oils are bad for your cholesterol. I’m not sure either way just yet but what I do know is that when I have coffee this way I get to enjoy a really creamy cup of hot coffee AND I enjoy the benefits of a slow release of caffeine into my system. This basically means that I don’t get that big caffeine rush straight after I’ve had a coffee and I get a sustained feeling of being alert and awake.I’ve tried it a few different ways and I often change it up but currently my favourite recipe is by one of my all time fav’s Jordan Pie. Jordan suggests using collagen or gelatine in it to help make it frothy but It also acts as a mood booster, digestive aid, is incredibly beneficial for your skin, hair, teeth and nail health and also aids in liver detoxification.

“I will say that everybody is different and I am in no way trying to endorse something that may not work for everyone. I’m not a health practitioner I just wanted to share my experience with it so far. I’d like to encourage you to do your research into it to see if it’s something you might like to try. ”
I use an aero press to make my coffee at home and either my Nutrininja blender or Vitamix if I’m not on tour. I make my own ghee which I use instead of butter and I’m currently adding in, cacao, gelatin and macca. I will often add reishi /ashwaganda/ lion’s mane when I have them too.
recipe from Jordan Pie

Cacao powder, sweetener of your choice to taste, adaptogenic herbs, ceylon cinnamon, melted cacao butter, turmeric, vanilla etc
GELATIN METHOD
1. Mix the gelatin and water together, set aside and allow it to bloom/ thicken.
